Service Projects

 

We, the Rotary Club of Benicia, have a common commitment to service in our community.  Together we...2006 Dictionary Project

§        Give a dictionary to every 3rd grader in Benicia

§        Give a library book to Benicia Middle School weekly to honor our speaker

§        Support education projects at Liberty High School

§        Provide meals for needy families during the holidays

§        Grant college scholarships to high school students2008 7th Street Cleanup

§        Provide grants to high school students for Camp Royal and Camp Venture

§        Host inbound and support outbound youth exchange students

§        Clean up Benicia's 7th Street two or three times a year

§        Work on a beautification project to help Benicia earn its Tree City USA®  designation, joining 152 other California cities

§        Support RI’s nine service opportunities (like Children at Risk and Preserving Plant Earth) and RI’s 9 structured programs like Interact and Youth Exchange.

§        Support THE Rotary Foundation by raising money t2006 Little Flocko support its programs like PolioPlus.

§        Work on our own international project to supply clean water, trees and livestock for the Little Flock Orphanage being built near Chennai, India.

§        Support other amazing projects like the transitional housing project in Lisbon, Portugal we supported in 2007-2008.
